About the Tests

Three Tests, One Definitive Answer

Malaria and typhoid mimic each other — both cause fever, fatigue, and headache. We run all three diagnostic methods at once so you know exactly what you're dealing with and treatment begins the same day.

Malaria RDT (Rapid Diagnostic Test)
Finger-prick blood test detecting malaria antigens (HRP-2, pLDH). Results in 20–30 minutes with over 95% sensitivity for P. falciparum, the deadliest strain in Nigeria.
🔬
Blood Film Microscopy
The gold-standard malaria confirmation — identifies parasite species, density, and treatment response under the microscope. Essential for monitoring ongoing therapy.
🧫
Widal Test (Typhoid Fever)
Detects antibodies to Salmonella typhi O and H antigens. Clinically significant titres confirm active typhoid, guiding antibiotic choice and duration.
When to Test

Five Signs You Need Fever Testing Today

01
Fever Lasting More Than 24 Hours
Any temperature >38°C persisting beyond a day warrants testing — malaria can become severe within 48 hours if untreated.
02
Chills, Shivering & Night Sweats
Cyclical cold-hot episodes are hallmark symptoms of Plasmodium falciparum and vivax malaria infections.
03
Severe Headache with Fatigue
Both malaria and typhoid cause debilitating headaches and body aches. Testing distinguishes the cause for proper treatment.
04
Abdominal Pain or Nausea
Typhoid fever classically causes abdominal tenderness with constipation early, then diarrhoea — test early for antibiotics to work.
05
Monitoring Ongoing Treatment
Blood film follow-up at day 3 and day 7 confirms treatment clearance and rules out drug-resistant malaria strains.
