Skin tags (medically known as acrochordons) are small, soft, benign growths that hang off the skin by a thin stalk. They are extremely common and completely harmless — but many people choose to have them removed for cosmetic or comfort reasons.
They typically appear in areas where skin rubs against skin or clothing. Anyone can develop them, and they become more common with age, weight gain, or during pregnancy.
Skin tags are non-cancerous and pose no health risk. They do not become malignant.

New skin tags may develop over time, but removed ones don't grow back at the same spot.

Controlled electrical current is used to burn off the skin tag. Particularly effective for smaller, flat, or multiple skin tags.
