No, you do not need an appointment for most services. Mascot Healthcare operates as a walk-in clinic, meaning you can visit anytime during our opening hours to see a doctor. However, for specialized services or if you prefer a specific time, you can schedule an appointment via WhatsApp, through the online booking portal or phone call.

We also offer a specialized Antenatal Self-Care App for personalized pregnancy tracking.

We don't admit or take delivery, we don't run antenatal and we don't perform surgery.

We offer a wide range of laboratory tests including:

  • Blood Tests: Full blood count, blood glucose, lipid profile, liver function, kidney function, etc.
  • Urine Tests: Urinalysis, urine culture, pregnancy test
  • STI Screening: HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B & C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea
  • Infectious Disease Tests: Malaria, Typhoid, Dengue
  • Hormone Tests: Thyroid function, male and female fertility hormones
  • Other Tests: Stool analysis, etc.

Most test results are available within 24-48 hours. Some specialized tests may take longer.

Appointments & Visits

Our walk-in clinic process is simple and straightforward:

  1. Arrive at the clinic during opening hours (Mon-Sat, 9AM-5PM)
  2. Register at reception - you'll need to provide your name and contact information
  3. Wait for your turn - average wait time is 5-20 minutes
  4. See the doctor for consultation and examination
  5. Get the breakdown and invoice for consultation and/or treatment fee
  6. Receive treatment/prescription or schedule additional tests if needed
  7. Make payment for services rendered

No prior appointment is needed for most services.

To ensure a smooth visit, please bring:

  • Previous medical records if available (test results, prescriptions, etc.)
  • List of current medications including supplements
  • Payment method (cash, card, or bank transfer)
  • For ultrasound scans: Come with a full bladder for abdominal/pelvic scans unless instructed otherwise

Yes, you can certainly come with family members. We offer:

  • Family consultations - multiple family members can see the doctor
  • Family registration card (₦2,000) that covers all family members.
  • Child-friendly environment for pediatric care
  • Privacy maintained during individual consultations

If multiple family members need to see the doctor, they will be attended to individually to ensure privacy and proper attention to each person's health concerns.

Pricing & Payment

Our consultation fees are transparent and affordable:

  • Walk-In Consultation: Starting from ₦5,000
  • Registration Card (New Patient): ₦1,000
  • Family Registration Card: ₦2,000 (covers all family members)
  • Telemedicine Consultation: ₦40,000

These fees cover the doctor's consultation only. Additional charges apply for tests, medications, or procedures.

Ultrasound scan prices vary by type:

  • Abdominal Ultrasound: ₦9,000
  • Pregnancy/OB Scan/Pelvic Ultrasound: ₦7,000
  • Breast Ultrasound: ₦12,000
  • Other specialized scans: Price varies (please confirm here)

The above prices are subject to change in the future. Scan prices include the procedure and a printed report with images. Doctor's consultation fee is separate if needed.

Currently, we do not accept health insurance or HMO plans. We operate on a fee-for-service basis where patients pay out-of-pocket for services rendered.

We accept various payment methods for your convenience:

  • Bank Transfer (to our corporate account)
  • POS available at the clinic

All payments are made before services are rendered.

Preparation depends on the type of scan:

  • Abdominal Ultrasound:
    • Fast for 6-8 hours before the scan (water is allowed)
    • Come with a full bladder - drink 4-5 glasses of water 1 hour before and don't urinate
  • Pelvic/Obstetric Ultrasound:
    • Come with a full bladder
    • For transvaginal scans, bladder should be empty
  • Kidney/Bladder Ultrasound:
    • Come with a full bladder
  • Breast/Thyroid/Scrotal Ultrasound:
    • No special preparation needed

If you have specific instructions from your doctor, please follow those. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area being scanned.

You will receive your ultrasound results immediately after the scan. Our process includes:

  • Real-time explanation: Our sonographer or doctor will explain key findings during the scan
  • Printed report: You'll receive a detailed written report with images
  • Doctor's review: Our doctor will review the findings with you and provide recommendations
  • Digital copies: We can provide digital images via email or WhatsApp upon request

The entire process typically takes 30-45 minutes depending on the type of scan. For complex cases, additional review time may be needed.
