Urinalysis isn't one test — it's a family of tests. Depending on your symptoms and clinical need, we perform dipstick screening, microscopic examination of urine sediment, and full culture with antibiotic sensitivity testing for confirmed infections.

Screens for protein, glucose, blood, ketones, bilirubin, nitrites, and leukocyte esterase — a rapid first-line assessment for kidney disease, diabetes, and UTI. Results in minutes.

Urine Microscopy

Examines centrifuged urine sediment under a microscope. Identifies red cells (kidney pathology), white cells (infection), casts (glomerulonephritis), crystals (stones), and bacteria — in detail not possible with a dipstick alone.

Urine Culture & Sensitivity

Grows any bacteria present to identify the exact organism (E. coli, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus, etc.) and tests which antibiotics will eliminate it. The only reliable way to guide UTI treatment — especially for recurrent or resistant infections.

Painful or Frequent Urination

Urinate the first portion into the toilet, then collect the middle portion in our clean container. This flushes urethral contaminants that would otherwise falsely indicate infection.

First-morning urine is most concentrated — giving the most sensitive result for protein, cells, and casts. If testing for UTI, any time is fine, but first-morning urine is ideal.
