What usually causes this
Tension headache
A band-like pressure, often stress or posture related. The most common type by far.
Migraine
One-sided, throbbing, often with light sensitivity or nausea. Can be disabling but is not dangerous.
High blood pressure
Frequently blamed and frequently missed. A reading takes two minutes and settles the question.
Infection
Malaria, sinusitis and other infections cause headache alongside fever.
Eye strain or dehydration
Common in Lagos heat and long screen hours, and easily corrected.
