Severe Period Pain in Lagos — When It Is Not Normal

Some cramping is normal. Pain that requires bed rest, that has worsened over years, or that painkillers no longer touch is not — and it is one of the most under-investigated symptoms in Nigerian women. Endometriosis in particular is often dismissed for years before anyone scans.
