What usually causes this
Diabetic neuropathy
The most common cause. Usually starts symmetrically in both feet.
B12 deficiency
Causes tingling with fatigue, and is fully correctable once identified.
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Affects the hand, worse at night, typically thumb and first fingers.
Nerve compression in the spine
