Haemoglobin Result Meaning — What Your Hb Value Says

Haemoglobin is the protein in red cells that carries oxygen. Where PCV measures the proportion of red cells, haemoglobin measures their oxygen-carrying capacity directly. Both point at the same thing — anaemia — and they usually move together.
