What we assess

Lipid profile, high cholesterol and triglycerides are closely associated with abdominal obesity. Blood pressure, hypertension and obesity commonly coexist.
What we do
Treat any underlying hormonal condition first (hypothyroidism, PCOS in women). Dietary counselling, specific to Lagos food patterns and portion sizes, not generic Western dietary advice. Exercise guidance tailored to your lifestyle. Medical treatment: for eligible patients, GLP-1 receptor agonists (semaglutide/Ozempic) and other evidence-based weight loss medications are available on prescription. Bariatric surgery referral for BMI >40 or >35 with comorbidities.
