How to Prepare for a Gallbladder Scan
A little preparation gives us the clearest possible images.
Before the Scan
Fasting is usually required for 6–8 hours beforehand for better visibility of the gallbladder.
Avoid fatty foods and carbonated drinks on the day of your appointment.
During the Scan
The scan is painless and non-invasive: gel is applied to your abdomen and a probe captures the images.
It takes about 10–20 minutes, and results are explained by our experienced medical team.
