Flatten, soften and shrink keloid scars with doctor-administered steroid injections and prescription ointments. Confidential, affordable care near UNILAG — serving all of mainland Lagos.
A keloid is a raised, thickened scar that grows beyond the boundary of the original wound. It forms when the skin produces too much collagen while healing from an injury — such as a piercing, cut, burn, surgery, or even acne.
Keloids are benign (non-cancerous) but they do not fade on their own. They can keep growing over months or years, may feel itchy, tender or firm, and can be cosmetically distressing — especially on visible areas like the earlobes, chest and shoulders.
Keloids are not cancerous, but they rarely shrink on their own and often need treatment to improve.
Keloids are far more frequent in people with darker skin tones and often run in families.
They often follow ear piercings, surgery, burns, acne or any break in the skin.
Steroid injections and ointments can flatten, soften and reduce keloids over a course of treatment.
We treat keloids with steroid injections and prescription ointments — non-surgical methods that flatten and soften the scar. We do not perform surgical keloid excision. Very large, fast-growing or complex keloids that may need surgery combined with radiotherapy will be assessed and, where appropriate, referred to a specialist.
Keloids tend to form on areas with higher skin tension or after a specific injury. These are the most common sites we treat.

Not every raised scar is a keloid — some are hypertrophic scars, which stay within the wound boundary and respond differently. Our doctor will examine and diagnose your scar before recommending treatment. WhatsApp us a clear photo for a quick informal assessment.
Our doctor will choose the right approach based on the size, age and location of your keloid — often using injections and ointments together for the best result.
Corticosteroid (steroid) is injected directly into the keloid. It works by breaking down excess collagen, flattening and softening the scar while easing itching and tenderness. This is the most effective option for most keloids.
Doctor-prescribed topical treatments — such as silicone-based gels and other scar-targeting ointments — are applied at home to help flatten, smooth and fade the keloid over time. Ideal for smaller or newer scars and as support between injections.
We've built our reputation on straightforward, patient-first care with realistic expectations and no unnecessary upselling.
All injections are given by our licensed physicians, not support staff.
