The Main Markers<\/h2>\n\n\n

HBsAg (surface antigen):<\/strong> If positive, the virus is currently in your body. You have an active infection \u2014 either recent or long-standing.<\/p>\n\n\n

Anti-HBs (surface antibody):<\/strong> If positive, you are immune. This happens after a successful vaccination or after recovering from a past infection.<\/p>\n\n\n

Anti-HBc (core antibody):<\/strong> If positive, you have been exposed to the actual virus at some point \u2014 this marker does not appear from vaccination alone.<\/p>\n\n\n
